May 2023 - Lynx's graduation from preschool!

May is a busy time! Thank goodness for the great weather. I've LOVED getting out for my triathlon training! My triathlon is June 4 - I'll post a summary of it afterward! I'm pretty excited.

Lynx graduated from preschool has a lot of updates! First, he graduated from preschool!! Some pics are below. On May May, w learned that Lynx got into Burnt Mills Elementary for Spanish Immersion. Lynn and I don't love Burnt Mills, but we're so glad that he gets to be in a Spanish Immersion program, that we decided to take it. And, Nova loves it there, so that's a big perk. 

Finally, Lynx had his pediatric neurologist appointment, where we learned that Lynx's seizures are bound to go away. Even though one of the seizures wasn't associated with a fever, they're still considered "provoked" seizures that should dissipate now that he's nearing 6. From the neurologist's lips to God's ears!! He has an EEG scheduled for June 15, so I'll let you know how that goes.

As for Nova, she finished her final soccer season with Takoma Park. She's LOVING soccer, so I hope she sticks with it through Sandy Spring Soccer Club, which she's loving. The swim team starts this week, and she's really excited about that, too! Finally, she's brought home dozens of writing assignments in Spanish that totally blow me away. She's learning so much! And, she continues to be in the "Enriched" section for math, seeing the math specialist Mr. Lotz twice a week. 

 

Lynx graduated from preschool!!! I was teary throughout the adorable ceremony.

It's been a long time, but we finally got together with Katie, Jack (pictured), Seamus + Liam! Katie and Jack have been featured on this blog since 2015!

They are so sweet together!!

Our neighbor, Eva, turned 6!! Her birthday party was art-themed - all the kids made clay mugs.

Lynx is really into building LEGO masterpieces lately! He's not so into cleaning them up, though...
