Summer Fun

Good day to all!

In June, I went to San Antonio for work. See below for evidence.

Enjoying dinner on the river walk.

Followed by an evening stroll on the Riverwalk....

Followed by the sight of wild animals!  Wildlife spotting #1.

More wildlife! Meow!

Third spotting!  I was surrounded by wild things.

Speaking of wild things, my good buddy Gemma lives in Austin with her husband Kris, son Theron and baby Annika.

Thanks for spending the weekend with me Storvicks!  I had a great time with your wild crew.

BOOZE CRUISE

In July, I went on a booze cruise with my buddy Amanda.

YARRGHHH!

With the lights from below, we look a little creepy, but we had a great time.  All in a days' work on a Pirate Cruise!

FOURTH OF JULY

Lynn and I met up with our buddies Kinnari and Anuj for the Fourth of July.  Since we failed to get pictures of them, or the fireworks, you'll have to take our word for it.

NEW YORK, NEW YORK

In mid-July, Lynn and I went to NY, NY.  As a mentor for the COIN program (where I mentor three college women), I have attended our annual retreat every July.  Every year is a blast, and this year was no different.  As an added bonus, one of my good friends, Corinne and I, were able to spend much of the weekend catching up.  Girlfriend time is much needed!

LURAY CAVERNS

Two weekends ago, I went with my buddies Stephanie and Tricia to the Luray Caverns.  They are a 2 hour drive from my place, and totally worth it!

So many stalagmite and stalactites!   They gave us a good mnemonic to remember the difference: Stalagmites might reach the ceiling, and stalactites hold "tight" to the ceiling.
