Week 46 - Jan. 10-16

This was a big week of firsts for our Nova!  I would tell you what "firsts" I'm talking about, but I don't want to spoil the fun.

Her first first: wearing these adorable overalls that I used to wear!

Her second first: setting her eyes on her betrothed - Steph's Jack!  We are planning a summer wedding for 2040.

Her third first: A photo where you can almost see all five of her teeth.

Her fourth first: Below zero weather!  I know it's much colder in Minnesota, but it can get below 0 in Maryland too....or at least very close.

Her fifth first: During Baby Yoga, Nova grabbed her toes during the "Touch your Toes" game.  Good job, baby!

Her sixth first: Enjoying this elephant on a string from Auntie Jodi.  Thanks so much for your box of wonderful gifts!

Her seventh (and arguably biggest first for the week): seeing SNOW!

More pointing at snow.....or she's pointing at the squirrel.....or she's just touching the glass.  It's hard to say...

Snow that accumulates!  She's obviously just as delighted as her dad.

Pure joy.  :)

Her eighth first: Doing a pull-up!  Please ignore the man behind the curtain.

Her ninth first: swimming at the indoor pool.  At first, she was weary.  She clung to me and gave a few little bursty shouts.  She does this with dogs, too.  But, we went very slowly, and after a few minutes, we were immersed up to our shoulders, showing the big kids what swimming is all about.

Nova STATS:
She's learned that walking with her arms in the air is much faster.  Soon she'll be running!
She's slowly warming up to dogs.  There are a couple of golden retrievers at the house near the park.  When we go by, we stop and look at them.  She stares at them and doesn't shout at them anymore.
She is showing great excitement often!  Her arms go flailing about while she squeals.  Many things set off this manic joy, but mostly her dad can spark it in her.  She sure loves him.  Don't we all?
While eating, she makes very adorable yummy sounds.
