Ocean City!

The long story about why we went to Ocean City is this: Back in May, Nova's preschool taught the kids about the ocean.  Later that day, we went to our park which has a drainage ditch near it. While throwing stones into the drainage ditch, Nova said, "Is this the ocean?"

So we had to go to the ocean.

We arrived on a Monday around noon.  The kids were great during the (almost) three hour car ride.  (Not so for the car ride home!!)  They loved being at the ocean on the first day, but when we went back again, neither was interested.  I had stupidly promised them each a present, so they were determined to pick out those gifts.

Here's a video of Lynn running with the kids on the beach.
And a video of Lynx talking.

They got a few gifts on the drive down, which improved the mood.

I gave them a different small gift wrapped in newspaper every 30 minutes.

Restaurant snuggles on the harbor!

Splash park!

We took a break from the splash parks and looked at the pond.

First time on the beach!

Lynx was pretty scared of the waves, so Nova gave him some support.

Ice cream!

Yum!
