Fall 2019 + Febrile Seizure for Lynxy

So far this fall has been wonderful!  I have no complaints.  See highlights below.

I'm still teaching Tinkergarten and loving it.

They can be so good to each other.

Our first pumpkins for the season.  We got them at Heyser Farm the day before Lynx had a seizure...

Lynx had a really bad fever at 3 am.  While snuggling him, he had a seizure.  Lynn called 911, the ambulance came, and took him to Medstar Montgomery.  They took his temp and it was 105.5.  Poor babe.  They gave him fluids and eventually he stopped screaming.  I was also ill during this stay, so they admitted me, too.  Ugh. A terrible night that I'm happy is complete.

The IV didn't go into his vein, so the saline filled his arm.  He screamed the entire hour it was in.  Once they took it out, he fell asleep immediately.

The week after the febrile seizure was tougher than usual.  He screamed all day, including while at Target (and trying to leave Target, as shown above) because he wanted a Chick Hicks toy car.  The next day, he was super chill, so I started worrying that his personality had changed.  But, no.  He's fine.  Just recovering from a tough week. (He also got stung by a wasp that week, too.  UGH)

The beautiful thing about being sick is popsicles!!  To make sure he got fluids, the doctor recommended popsicles.
