Hawaii!

We had so much fun in Hawaii. It really could not have been better. The original plan was to just go to the beach every day, explore Honolulu, and take a shuttle or Uber to a few destinations. Then, a few days before we left, Lynn suggested we just go for it and get a rental car. And I'm so glad we did! It was so fun to explore all of Oahu! We did all the things.

Here are a video of them at the beach. And, here is a video of them playing with Lynn.

The beach was by far their favorite thing. We went almost every day. One day, we were there for 7 hours!

On a rainy day, we drove up the coast to see some big waves crash up on the shore! The kids loved it, despite the rain and wind.

They LOVED all of the tablet time they got!

On the rainy day, we also went to this indoor playspace for three hours. Amazing!

They built this huge lego castle with new friends.

More beach time!

We went for a walk on the first day. The kids were hot and not happy, so we didn't go for anymore walks after that.

Some pit stops on the walk!

Almost every morning, we went to this restaurant for breakfast. It was across the street from the beach and totally delicious!

We went to Pearl Harbor on Jan. 27. It was amazing. I had spent some time the weeks prior to the trip explaining WWII to the kids, so they had some context for this visit. They loved it! Here they are playing at the indoor playground at Pearl Harbor.

Treats at Pearl Harbor!

More time on the submarine.

We visited the Honolulu Zoo and it was amazing! It was just a block from our hotel, so it was easy to get to. It started raining after a few hours, but we hid in a bird sanctuary during the downpour. So fun.

Back to our favorite restaurant...again! Lots of opportunities for photos here. hahah!

I'm telling you...the beach was a huge hit!

A Mexican restaurant! Delicious.

We toured the aquarium near our hotel. It was pretty lame, but the kids enjoyed it.

Bye Bye Hawaii!! See you again soon, we hope!
