Christmas in Arizona

Lynn and I celebrated Christmas in different states: I went to AZ to be with my folks, and he went to MN to be with his family and friends there.

Before we parted ways, he bought me this great tea kettle. Well done, Lenners.

And I left him a surprise in the fridge for when he returned.  Then, I flew to Arizona (on a plane!).

Arizona!  This is the view from my parents' place.

And my gracious hosts!

Lynn sent me this picture from MN.  He's showing his friends' child, Jace, how his phone works.

So, we reciprocated.  Here's Dad showing me how his phone works.

On Saturday, December 28, we took a trip to Tombstone, Bisbee and Sonoita, AZ to take in some history.

Cowgirl Briggy!

Dad and I enjoying coffee at a local watering hole.

My parents in front of the Tombstone Courthouse.

Though we didn't stay around for it, each day there is a reenactment of the confrontation between the "good guys" (which consists of the Earp boys and Doc Holliday), and the "bad guys."  Surprisingly, the good guys win every day!

On Sunday, December 29, we took a trip to the Desert Museum.  Mom and I thought it would be funny to take a bunch of pictures of me and pretend like I was in front of a variety of interesting sites.
The Eiffel Tower!

The Himalayas!

The Egyptian Pyramids!

She also had trouble with my camera.

There is a slight difference in the two pictures below, only to be seen by the discerning eye.  Can you figure it out?

We later decided that I should take some action shots!

Confronting the wildebeest!

Attacking a goat!  Watch as the battle unfolds!

ARRGHH!

CHOMP!

And finally....Sleeping with the fishes.

Happy Holidays from the Arizona Rolfsruds!
