I'm 32 weeks today! Only two months to go to baby time. I have loved the journey so far - despite the nausea and heartburn. (For the last few weeks, I've been nauseous in the mornings and have heartburn in the evenings. Yeesh.)
Baby Wilson kicks, jumps and rolls vigorously for a few days straight (it seems), followed by a few days of relaxation and mild movement. She's almost 4 pounds this week, which is crazy to think about! Keep growing in there, little one!
I've started watching birthing videos and devising my tentative birth plan. I am not committed to anything necessarily; I just hope that she has a positive experience and isn't too traumatized.
Choosing a name is a virtually impossible task. I have scoured baby books, Norwegian towns, lakes, rivers, Scandinavian last names, etc. Mom sent me our genealogical books from the Sonstegard and Rolfsrud sides. I've looked through half of one of them with no luck. I'll keep at it though. So far, Lynn and I have a list of 5 that we like, but I am hoping I come across one name that just grabs me and won't let go! I'll keep my search going.
I don't have any cravings to speak of. Instead, I'm doing my best to eat a variety of vegetables and protein. I'm not a big fan of meat (due to my ten year stint as a vegetarian, perhaps!), but am trying to get enough protein through lots of fish and an occasional chicken pattie each week. I drink a ton of water - way more than the recommended 64 ounces a day. I'd say I drink twice that regularly. I am so thirsty!
I've replaced coffee with my own version of a Starbuck steamer. I microwave a cup of milk and then add some vanilla. It's a tasty, warm, decaffeinated treat!
32 weeks! |
My 32 week stats: I've gained 32 pounds - Gaining a pound per week for the 40 weeks has been my goal, and I've stuck with it consistently since 20 weeks!
She's measuring 32 centimeters from pubic bone to top of belly - The doctors want your belly to measure the same number of centimeters as weeks you are along. So, again, I'm spot on. Fabulous.
My blood pressure is 120 over 74. Also great! Her heart rate was about 128 bpm.
I still don't understand why you're looking for a name. Your baby already has one. ;) Seriously, good luck with that task. It's difficult. But, you'll find something you fall in love with and the struggle will be forgotten. Or, you'll pick one and give it many nicknames. :)
ReplyDeleteSo few weeks left! It's so exciting!
P.S. I think it was a great idea to wear the same tank top to chronicle your growth. Very clever.
