Week 24 - August 9-15

This week, I asked my boss if I can go part-time, and she agreed.  Starting in September, I'll be a part-time employee, a part-time student, and a full-time Nova snuggler!

With a face like this, how could I resist the snuggles? 

 While I prefer snuggles, Nova now prefers adventures!  She likes to sit near her Learning Farm, but will flop over now and again.  Lynn and I are coming up with creative ways to let her sit up safely.  This breastfeeding pillow is the newest rendition.  It works pretty well.

She looks so cute....she doesn't even realize that we've trapped her in a purple foam prison!

After al of that playing, our Little Lady is too tired to keep her tongue in her mouth while sleeping.  

Totes adorbs!

 Since I started working again, I've biked home from the office every day (except when I had pink eye two weeks ago.)  My mom worries that I ride helmet-less, so I took this photo to prove I do not!  Helmet worn! Sunglasses, too!

Nova got jealous and wanted to wear my shades too.  So cute....so happy.  

What else makes her happy?  Hanging out with my foot!  She is totally awake here.  Just enjoying being with my foot? 

Remember the purple foam prison?  Neither does Nova.  Here she's sneaking out and laughing all the way to...the phone.

Another escape!

Nova snuck out to be with her BFF, Jack!  Nova says, "Now we're friends FOREVER." And Jack seems unsure... 

Here he's asking permission.  "Mama, can I be Nova's BFF FOREVER!?"  Katie said, "Of course!" 

Here they are plotting their next escape. 

On Saturday, I had lunch with some new buddies, Allison and her son, Devin (4 mo)....

...And Sarah with her son, Kai (3 mo).

After such a long week, Nova has had enough!  Face first into the floor.

Nova STATS:

Nova can now take steps on her own (while Lynn holds her up).  She loves it.  It's darling to watch.  

Just this week, she's gotten back her taste for rolling over.  Since her first attempts in late June, she hasn't rolled over at all.  But, now she's rolling right along, into more cuteness.

When I put her down to sleep with her blanket, she always puts her arm over the blanket like she owns it.  She doesn't, but it's cute to think that she does.
She's starting giggling with more regularity:
