Everything was planned out for...the move into our first house! Lynn would return from San Francisco on December 20. We would pack on December 21, move December 22, unpack on December 23, and then pack and fly to Arizona on December 24. Piece of cake....until Nova gets sick and cannot go to daycare. While I watched Nova, Lynn did basically all of the packing, moving, and unpacking. I will be forever indebted to him (though don't tell him I said so).

We spent some time in the great outdoors in order to give Lynn space to pack up. Despite her illness, Nova is still in great spirits. I love this about her. |
|
My pal Missy offered to come over and help us pack up, which was wonderfully nice of her! She also sang the "Itsy Bitsy Spider" and "You are my Sunshine" to Nova, which are now favorite songs. |

Enjoying so much at once: legos, reading, and snuggling with Bartholomew, the bear. |
|
Thanks for helping us pack, sweetie! |

I probably should have taken a photo of Lynn packing, since he did most of the work. But Nova is just too cute!! I couldn't resist featuring her as our main mover. :) |

At long last, it's official! We are homeowners. |

However, our first four nights were not spent in the house! We flew to Arizona to be with my parents for the holiday. Here is a sick Nova, and a silly Lynn, enjoying some breakfast at the airport. The waitress was wearing Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer antlers and nose, and Nova LOVED her. She watched her as she served other customers, and smiled whenever she came near. Thanks Rudolph! |

All of that moving and traveling can wear a girl out. Lynn bounced Nova in the Baby Bjorn before our flight, so she slept through the boarding, take-off and much of the flight. Hats off to my husband. |
