Nova's First Christmas!
We made it safely to Arizona, where Mom and Dad picked us up from the airport, served delicious food, and gave Nova presents!
Nova and Lynn are seen here, preparing for the presents. |
All of that preparation paid off. The presents arrived and they opened them with great skill. To see this skill in video format, please click here. |
The men went golfing, so the girls went for a walk! Arizona was cold - highs in the 40s. So little Nova got to show off her cute winter attire.
What a cute expression! I haven't seen this one before. She's so animated. |
This expression I have seen! She smiles all the time. |
Grandpa was nice enough to read Nova's favorite book, Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What do you See? |
Here she is questioning his reading skills. "Are you sure the brown bear sees the red bird? I thought he saw the yellow duck. Please double check." |
Lynn, Dad and I went golfing. You'll notice the deer in the background, making an appearance to cheer us on. |
By the time we left Arizona and were back in the airport, Nova was almost over her cold, so she wanted to contribute. Here's a video of her pushing her own stroller. |
We are back home! Thanks for a great trip, Mom and Dad! |
On her 44 week birthday, Nova got to hang out with her buddy Sylvia. Aren't they adorable? |
NOVA STATS:
Nova's walking skills have greatly improved.
She is beginning to understand "all done."
She LOVES swinging. In fact, when I do the "all done" signal when swinging is coming to and end, she starts pouting.
She can clap and wave.
When her mom acts like a puppy, she laughs and laughs.
We have three sets of two stairs in our new house. I've taught her how to "sit and scoot" down the stairs. So, when she reaches the top of the stairs, she reaches for me, holds my hand/shirt/leg, sits, and scoots herself to the edge of the stair where she proceeds to stand on the next step down.
Brown Bear Brown Bear...love the picture of Steve and Nova. Nova is definitely thriving. Good job Mom and Dad. Aunt Linda
