YAY for 50 weeks!

Nova's hair is finally long enough for me to put it in a small, adorable pony tail. I love it! I think it makes her look like a little girl instead of a baby. |
|
"What's that you say, Mommy?".... |
|
...."Do I have a bunny on my back?" |
|
"I do! Perfect for snuggling!" |
|
"Just walkin' with my buddies after a long, well-deserved nap." |
|
It's been especially cold lately. Additionally I (Briggs) got a snow day! So I got to be with Nova for an extra day this week.

These two are so cute together! Here they are, playing the role of "feet" in Katie's piano performance. |

50 weeks! |
Nova STATS:
We think that Nova went through a developmental stage last week, because she is much more aware and responsive. She is especially more aware of how hilarious I am. Up until this week, Nova's been a tough crowd. She'd laugh maybe once or twice a week. But now she giggles a few times a day. Here are a few examples of things that made Nova crack up:
1. We have a wooden box with toys along the side. These toys can be pulled along a track. Once at the top of the track, you can push them and they fall down to the bottom again. I grab a stuffed animal and use it to bring them to the top of the track. When she goes to push them down, I say "NOO!!!!" in a silly voice and use the stuffed animal to thwart her. She laughed for minutes!
2. Playing peek-a-boo with hair in my face. She couldn't stop laughing.
3. Shaking my head in such a way that my ears almost touched my shoulders. Again, pure hilarity.
