The 19th Month: September 2016

Greetings readers!  

Nova loves to help out, so I try to give her tasks to do.  Here, I asked her to get a bowl for her mac and cheese.  She grabs this huge, red one.  Fine by me!  Go big or go home.

She also helps Cat eat delicious potatoes.

And she helps me stir up dinner!

I wish I could put her hair up more often, but the girl hates it. Above is a rare photo of her with her hair in a pony tail.

Our pals Suresh and Sonal (not pictured) had a yoga birthday party and great giveaways!  Here, Nova and Audrey are sporting their adorable star sunglasses.

We took a trip to NASA to visit Daddy at work.  Nice rocket-making skills, Lynn! (ha) 

After a long weekend of rain, I opened the upstairs closet to find what new activities thee were.  Scrabble pieces fit nicely into Easter eggs! 

Megan and Audrey came over.  Nova brought this book to Megan, then laid down on her tummy, waiting for Megan to read to her.  Which she did, beautifully. 

 "No, Audrey!  This egg crate is obviously mine!"

Love this sweet photo, taken on our way to Miss Fran's daycare.  I think she looks a lot like Kousin Kaia!

Nova STATS:

We went to Nova's 18 month appointment this month.  In my dereliction as a mother, I didn't write down the stats.  Luckily, Lynn did!  Such a responsible parent - I'm glad Nova has one of those.

In other news, Nova guides us to her favorite park now.  It's about 2 miles away and it takes 11 turns to get there.  But, I stopped at each intersection and asked her, "Which way, Nova?" and she pointed in the right direction each time.  Guess who's in charge of navigation from now on?  Not me!

Also, she can do a somersault!  I haven't captured it on film yet, but soon I hope to!
