The 24th Month - Nova Turns 2!

Can you believe it? Our little one turned two!!  She is wonderful and delightful and amazing and I love her so much!  But, before we show you our birthday celebration from Feb.28, here's a few sweet moments from her final month as a 1-year-old.

Lynn got into a car accident in January (he's fine, but his car is not), so we had to buy a new one.  We took the opportunity to face Nova's car seat forward.  She loves it.  She knows some of the lights: "red, stop!" "green, go!" "yellow, go faster!"

Speaking of going faster, Nova got a bike!  This video shows her first efforts at using her pedal-less bike.  

I have been playing with wearing make up consistently.  Thoughts?

I got to enjoy a girls' weekend with some DC gal pals!  We went to Leesburg, VA for President's Day weekend.  We went outlet shopping, wine tasting (for the non-pregnant amongst us), yoga-ing, etc.  It was a very pleasant respite from the rush of DC living.

Nova can almost fit into this dress that her mommy wore back in the 80s.  Adorbs.

Now, on to her birthday celebration!  It was a beautiful weekend, so we took Nova to the zoo.  She loved the pandas, elephants, monkeys, everything! A perfect birthday adventure.

After the zoo, we bought Nova and cake and sung her happy birthday....sorta.

We went to Nova's 2 year well baby appointment.  

Height: 34.75 inches

Weight: 26 lbs, 3 oz

She's right on track to be a medium sized little lady, much like her mommy.

Nova's first joke:  "Mommy yucky!"  This was followed by excited giggling, and more jokes: "Daddy, Yucky!"  and "Nova, Yucky!"
