The only time it snowed all winter was during March. We took advantage and made snowmommies, snowdaddies, and snowbabies. |
We also went biking! Check out this biking video.
After biking, Nova and I went bowling at Ethan and Zac's birthday party. She loved it and talked about bowling for two weeks afterward.
While Lynn was in California, Nova fell off my bed while playing and smacked her head on the bedside table. Poor baby....but, that's not all.... |
While we go for walks, Nova loves to pick up rocks...and delay me from getting home and eating! So hungry these days. |
Ponytails at Target! |
Nova loves helping us with "gosheries." She climbed into this bag so she could be the groceries. |
For more fun with Daddy, enjoy this "steam roller" video.
Barefoot in the sunshine with a golf ball. Life doesn't get any better. |
This post started with snow, and ends with a swimsuit! April is turning into a lovely month. |
NOVA STATUS UPDATE:
March 17: After picking her up from daycare, I asked Nova, "What did you do at Miss Fran's today?" and Nova said, "Poopy!"
March 21: Lynn was in California for work. He Facetimed with us from the beach. So, Nova said, "Daddy working (at the) beach."
March 22: I told Nova that she was going to Miss Fran's and I was going to work at Hopkins. She paused, then said, "Mommy, Fran house?" I said, "No, I'm sorry, I can't stay at Miss Fran's house. Then she says, "Me too, Hopkins?" Oh baby, I wish you could!
March 28 - basketball is "tickle ball"
April 1: Lynn walked away from us and Nova chased him, yelling, "Wait me!"
April 2: New question: "What sound that?"
April 4: Lynn was holding Nova and I went into kiss her goodnight. She wrapped her arms around both of our necks and said, "Family."
April 7: backpack is pack-kack
April 7: She pointed at four different words in the "My Colored Days' book by Dr. Suess correctly. She's obviously not reading, but had memorized the words enough to recognize them. nifty.
April 13: New game: She runs at me, saying "oh dear, oh dear!" Then, she jumps in my lap and says, I scared." and we snuggle. I think this is my favorite game ever.
In other news, we started potty training Nova on April 7. She started it - we were going to wait until August, after I recovered from the pregnancy and newborn days. But, she refused to wear her diaper and wanted to use the potty. We're still working on it, but she is committed to the process!
Way to go, Nova! She's growing up so fast. But, I'm afraid she has her cousin Kaia's clumsiness. :( Be prepared for many stitches and visits to the ER. All a part of growing up! :)
ReplyDeleteUgh, I remember Kaia's bumps and bruises! I think you're right. She's clumsy but determined!
DeleteLove the video. Love the update on the vocabulary. Sorry about those bumps. Love, Grandpa Steve and Grandma Nancy
