March 2024

March was great! As usual, we transitioned from winter to spring, with some beautiful flowers emerging (see way below!). The kids had an amazing final swim meet for the winter season, and my husband got a bit drunk with friends...enjoy.

Nova broke 17 seconds for her 25 fly, which is REALLY FAST! Her coach made a point of coming over to tell me! So did Nova. My friend took this picture of Nova telling us this news because she could tell just how excited Nova was about it!!

Lynn doesn't get out much, but when he does.....you never know what'll happen. He went to a St. Patricks' Day party at his buddy Drew's house and had a great time.

Our Easter tradition is to have our neighbors Eva and Vivian over for an Easter Egg Hunt. The kids found all of the eggs!

March began Lynn's very busy travel schedule. While Lynn is out of town, the kids have the honor of doing the dishes. As I say, "Mom doesn't do dishes." That's not entirely true but it feels great to say. Anyway, they do the dishes while Lynn is gone and I love it.t

Lynx's outdoor soccer season began with a really tough tournament in Rockville. The team tried their best but lost every game. Lynx was...less than thrilled. But I got a few nice pictures.

Lynx throwing it in! He's not supposed to leave his feet, but that's ok! It's a great photo! lol!

The kids wore rainbows to school to support + celebrate our LGBTQ+ friends!

I let Lynx hold his very first toad!

Nova decorated our bush with flowers from around the neighborhood.

We're at Peachwood Park on one of the nice afternoons this March!

I've never looked better.

I am eternally grateful to the previous owners of our home for planting so many perennials that we get to enjoy year after year!

Nova (and Lynx) are a bit obsessed with listening to Harry Potter on CD. So they hang out in Nova's room for hours and hours, listening and drawing or playing (or reading another book concurrently! hahah!). Anyway, the state of Nova's room isn't EXACTLY what I'd prefer, but I can acknowledge when I've lost. And, I've lost.
