Colonial Williamsburg 2014

I LOVE Colonial Williamsburg.  We plan to go every fall from now until eternity.  It's so peaceful, and folks are friendly...a slightly different experience from living in DC.

The highlight for us every year is listening to one of the historical figure lectures.  Here is Patrick Henry, the first governor of Virginia.  This actor has such depth and breadth of knowledge for his character, Lynn and I have been impressed each time we hear him speak.  (I think we've enjoyed three of his lectures over the years.)

Lynn waiting for our food to arrive.  Look at the waiter behind him!
He's moving so fast - he clearly didn't want to make Lynn wait too long.
Nice product placement, huh?  "Come to Colonial Williamsburg
where you can enjoy the latest Coke products!"

We were able to enjoy some of the musical talents of
these three artists on the harpsicord, cello, and voice.

Here Lynn gets caught in a tree.  Don't worry, I rescue him shortly after this photo was taken.

I've been trying to go on a walk/jog every Sunday morning.  Last weekend was no exception.

Join me on my excursion!

In case you were worried people can't see me on the paths, let this sock-and-shoe combo alleviate that anxiety.

Ahhh, a fork in the road.  Well, I took the one more traveled. Boring.

Rock Creek is my turn-around point.  It's a relaxing place to stretch a bit before I head back home.

This tree trunk was super cool.

Can you see (what looks like) a jungle vine?  This is actually a power line, being pulled down by the weight of shrubbery. This, and many other power lines in similar situations, is the cause of frequent power outages.
