Week 7 - April 12-18 - Lynn goes to Princeton

Week 7 on April 18.  Leading up to this date, here's what happened.

I donated 10 inches of hair to Locks of Love for the 5th time!

In addition to altruism, I needed to cut my hair for three reasons:
1. It was so long I kept hitting Nova in the face with it.  Surprisingly, she didn't like this.
2. It took forever and a day to wash and dry....so I just didn't.  For much too long.
3. Apparently, you shed a lot around 3 months post-partum.  I wanted to shed a bit less, making life easier on our shower drain.

Speaking of hair, I noticed that little Nova has grown eyelashes!  She had none when she was born.  Kousin Kaia has the most beautiful lashes, so hopefully some of those genes rub off on our little star!

Lynn gave a talk at an invitation-only conference at Princeton University.  Nova was so proud, she demanded that we send these photos.

"Here I am, sneaking up on you...and...

...BOO!!"

What?!  Hillary is running for president in 2016?!

"I am getting pudgier....and am proud of it!"

I made my first solo trip in the car with Nova on April 15.  We went to the doctor's for my check up, where I was given the all-clear to exercise!  So we ran that very same day!

Lynn usually does the dishes, but when he was gone, Nova got behind.

After a long conversation about personal responsibilities, she finally vindicated herself.

Sleeping face-first!

Such strong pudge!

Cute outfit from Grandma Nancy that Nova seems unsure about.  :)

This one is way better!

This is my favorite!

Yep, you can tell from my cuteness that this is my favorite of Nancy's outfits.

Whose baby is this?!  I barely recognize her when she looks like this!  Like a monkey!

"Mmmmmeeeeerrrrgggguuulllll"

Week 7 update:
She often holds my hand while eating from the bottle.  Makes me melt.

  1. Yes!!!! I've been checking daily for updates. These did not disappoint. :) You're right! She's getting pudgy! Love it. Repeat the mantra in her ears, "big is healthy, big is healthy". That's what we did with Kaia and she's basically a giant. She is so cute and happy. I love that you're teaching her responsibility at such an early age. Maybe she'll pitch in and help with chores more often. I also love your weekly updates at the bottom. They are so cute and sweet. :)
