Week 9 - April 26-May 2 - Jodi Visits!

Nova LOVES this activity gym.  When we think she's in the mood for it, we say, "Let's put her on her monkey."  So cute.

My best friend for 28 years (yes, we met when we were 4!) visited April 24-26.  She is a mother of two, and was great with Nova!

Nice smiles, Jodi!  You can see Lynn in the background, working away.

And a close up!  Look at these two cuties!  (With Lynn photo bombing again.)

Jodi, Nova and I took a trip to downtown DC.  Here Nova is carbo-loading before her big endeavor.  The snowsuit she's wearing was also worn by yours truly in 1982.

First time on the Metro.  She's thrilled.

Jodi, Nova and I went to our mutual friend, Megan's, house for dinner.  Nice snuggling, Meg-o!

Another outfit that I wore in 1982/1983. Nova loves it!

Yep, definitely loves it.

Because babies need to sleep on their backs due to the fear of SIDS, we need to practice being on our tummies while awake.  I try to find interesting ways for Nova to explore this Tummy Time.  Here's a stint on my leg.  So happy!

After Jodi left, Nova and I wanted to take a few more trips out into the world.  So we took some selfies with the Winnie-the-Pooh snowsuit.

Still sleeping face-down.  Such a goofball.

Whoa! Nova must have gone through quite the growth spurt!

Another trip!  This time, with an adorable hat!

What?  A picture of someone other than Nova?!  How did this get here?
This is a picture of Lynn, much older.  See any resemblances to our Nova?

Honk-shoo!

Happy May Day!

Nova met her first friend!  To the left is Sylvia, who was born on March 9, just 9 days after Nova.

Sometimes, I feel left out.  So, a picture that includes me.

Nova was a bit pensive for her 9 week photos. Enjoy!

Week 9 stats:
She watches her hands for long periods of time.  Often just before they reach in to scratch her eyes.  Ugh.
She hiccups almost every time she smiles and talks.
On Wednesday, April 30, she slept from 8:30-3:30.  A record 7 hours for her!  Keep it up!

  1. Yes! More pictures! And this time, you're in some. Wonderful. My, she's getting so big and expressive. Adorable. I love that you have some of your old outfits for her. Lynn's picture is great! She definitely is a cute mix of the two of you. All that sleeping and eating is definitely paying off. She's getting so big and chubby. Amazing! Good job, Mom and Dad!
