Nova and I went on a one-night trip to Lancaster, PA. We visited the Dutch Wonderland, which she hated, and then stayed at the Red Caboose Hotel, which she loved.
The day before we left for our trip, Lynx got strong and brave enough to climb on the learning tower in the kitchen. Thus begins fights over who gets more space on the learning tower. Sigh.
Upon arriving at the Dutch Wonderland, Nova and I went on a little train. She was, ahem, thrilled.
While waiting in line, Nova had a blast! While actually ON the rides, Nova was terrified. After just 3.5 hours, I asked Nova what she wanted to do next. She said, "Sleep in the hotel." So, at 3 pm, we headed to our hotel. She fell asleep during the 11 minute car ride.
Once in the hotel room, Nova was herself again. Happy, comfortable, silly.
A little calming hotel fun: I gave her a new tracing book which she loved.
On our walk to the hotel restaurant, we were forced to walk by this beautiful display of stuff we should buy.
We loved being at the hotel restaurant together.
WEEE! Train time!
She got some candies! Very exciting for her.
Back at the restaurant, and Bear was brought out to accompany us.
After breakfast at the hotel, we went to the playground at the hotel, then to this amazing model train exhibit!
We stayed for over an hour. She enjoyed this much more than the Wonderland.
More train-themed fun.
Then....Swimming at the local pool!
